Participation Code

Principles, responsibilities and conditions

This is a translation of the Spanish original. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

1Scope and acceptance

This code sets out the conditions of participation for speakers, technical committee members and other participants in PERÚHACK's official activities, according to their respective responsibilities.

Submitting a talk, and having it accepted, implies a commitment to comply with these provisions.

2Commercial independence

Talks may not be used to promote products, services, brands, companies or commercial initiatives, whether the speaker's own or those of third parties.

The following are expressly prohibited:

Analysis of commercial or proprietary technologies is allowed when it is technically justified and does not amount to promotion.

3Content integrity

Presentations must substantially match the proposals approved by the technical committee.

Promotional content, undeclared demonstrations or changes that significantly alter the technical nature of the talk may not be introduced without the organizers' authorization.

4Responsible disclosure

Speakers must ensure that they hold the necessary authorizations to disclose non-public information, data, materials or research results, where applicable.

Unjustified exposure of confidential information, personal data, credentials or sensitive third-party information will not be allowed.

Critical analysis of products, vendors and technologies is welcome when it is backed by technical evidence, carried out responsibly and compliant with applicable legal obligations.

5Identity and recognition

PERÚHACK recognizes the authorship and track record of its speakers, but gives priority to the content of the research.

Bios must be brief and relevant. Corporate presentations and commercial messages are not allowed during the talk.

Speakers may announce their participation, provided that the announcement is informative and does not amount to commercial advertising or an unauthorized institutional association.

6Sponsorship and conflicts of interest

Sponsorship grants no right to select, veto, modify or influence talks.

Technical committee members must declare relevant conflicts of interest and refrain from evaluating proposals when their impartiality could be compromised.

7Professional conduct

Respect is required toward attendees, speakers, researchers, organizers and third parties.

Harassment, threats, discrimination and any conduct that endangers the safety of people or of the conference infrastructure will not be tolerated.

Technical demonstrations must stay within their authorized scope and must not affect third-party systems.

8Breaches

Failure to comply with these conditions may result in warnings, requests for correction, disqualification or cancellation of the presentation, depending on the seriousness of the facts.

Serious violations, particularly those involving safety, unauthorized disclosure or deliberate commercial promotion, may lead to a talk being stopped immediately.

The organizers will assess documented facts with proportionality and consistency, and may hear the participant when circumstances allow.

PERÚHACK's independence is a shared commitment and an essential condition of participation.
